“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day — and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah.”
Surah At-Tawbah · 9:18
The Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton has been the spiritual home of Southwest Florida’s Muslim community since the early 1980s. What began as Friday prayers among a small circle of families has grown into a full-service Islamic institution serving hundreds of households.
Today, ISSB encompasses daily prayers, a full-time Islamic school, youth programs, community outreach, and a food pantry — all anchored by the values of worship, knowledge, and compassion.
